Nasreddine Nabi has urged the team’s fans to stop the pressure as this season they have the best team capable of carrying all domestic titles and representing Tanzania well in international championships.
Yanga lost 2-1 to Zanaco FC of Zambia in an international friendly match on the day of Citizens’ Week, a match played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam on Sunday.
Speaking after the game, Nabi said losing the game was part of testing his squad which has not fully started preparations for next season although he is pleased with the players’ responsibility.
“Our fans should not be afraid, let them know they have a good team this season that will be able to carry every local trophy and do well in international championships, the results of Zanaco’s game should not disappoint them,” said Nabi.
The Tunisian coach said after the Zanaco match, he planned to continue with his special program which he started in Morocco to strengthen his squad in every department to play interesting football and get wins in all matches including the African Champions League which follows.
